Ownership

Your brand, your Stripe, your customers

Your brand

Hunters book on your website, on your own domain, under your name. Every page we write and every review we earn builds your outfit, not a platform's.

Your Stripe

Deposits, balances and refunds go straight into your own Stripe account. Card processing is Stripe's standard rate, and you decide who covers it.

Your customers

Your hunters, waivers, licenses and booking history live in your own HuntReserve account. Your reviews and repeat business build your brand, not ours.

Why outfitters switch

Where Peek Pro and HuntReserve differ for a hunting or fishing outfit, what you'd gain by moving, and what you wouldn't give up.

Why do hunting outfits shop for a Peek Pro alternative?

Usually because their business looks less like a tour and more like a hunt. Peek Pro describes its best customers as high-volume tour, rental and attraction operators focused on online conversion and guest experience. That's a real strength if you run sunset cruises or kayak rentals all day long.

A guided hunt is a different animal. You want to know who's coming before they can pay. Every shooter needs a license, every minor needs a parent's signature, and the group may need beds for three nights. When the hunt is over, a tag goes in the register and the state may want a harvest report by a deadline. On Peek Pro's site we found a page for boat tours and charters, but no page for hunting, and none of those hunt jobs are listed.

So the outfitters who search for a Peek Pro alternative are usually looking for one system that does the whole job, not a checkout page with the paperwork still on the kitchen table.

How do you compare prices when one side doesn't publish them?

Ask for the full quote in writing, then put it next to a published number. Peek Pro says its pricing is custom and quote-based, tailored to your business, and describes it as commission-based. The commission rate and who pays it aren't stated on their site.

HuntReserve's prices are on our site for anyone to read: $159, $329 and $899 per month. The 2% booking fee on Opening Day is billed to you, not added to your client's total, and Full Draw and Trophy Class carry no booking fee. Card fees follow Stripe's published pricing, charged inside your own Stripe.

When you get a Peek quote, three questions make the comparison fair: what percentage is taken, is it charged to you or to the guest, and does it apply to every booking or only online ones. The cost table further down shows what each company publishes today.

What does a Peek Pro alternative need to do for a guided hunt?

It has to cover the parts of the job that happen before and after the booking, not just the booking. Here's what HuntReserve does that we didn't find listed on Peek Pro's site:

  • Approve-before-book: requests come to a board, you pick the clients, and each gets a one-time code
  • Party registration: the lead hunter sends one link and each person enters their own details and license
  • AI license scan that matches the name on the license to the waiver signature
  • A parent or guardian signing alongside anyone under 18
  • Rooms and beds booked on the same reservation as the hunt
  • A tag register, plus state harvest reports filled in and counting down to the deadline
  • Camp Mode, which keeps taking releases and license photos when there's no service

Peek Pro lists native iOS and Android apps with offline check-in. Offline waiver signing isn't stated on their site, which is the part that matters at a camp an hour past the last cell tower.

What would you keep if you moved from Peek Pro?

The features Peek Pro does well that outfitters rely on are here too. Peek lists automated waitlists that fill cancellations; HuntReserve's waitlist hands an open date to the next client, who then has a day to claim it. Peek lists seasonal and annual passes; HuntReserve runs memberships with dues and a running ledger for clubs, leases and season shooters.

Peek lists a nightly journal-entry sync to QuickBooks. HuntReserve syncs customers, invoices, payments, refunds and expenses to QuickBooks Online as they happen. Peek lists split payments at checkout. HuntReserve can give each person in a party their own payment link, so the organizer isn't carrying the whole trip on his card.

Your customer list comes with you, and the switching section below shows how the setup works.

Is this Peek Pro alternative a fit for fishing charters?

Yes. A charter on HuntReserve sells seats per boat as a daily limit, takes a deposit, and gets a release signed by every angler before anyone steps aboard, with a parent signing for kids. Your morning dashboard carries the hourly forecast, wind direction and gusts, and the moon phase, and when weather scrubs a trip, the date can go to the next angler waiting for it.

Outfits that guide in the fall and fish in the summer run both from one account. Our charter page covers that side in depth.

Do you lose bookings by leaving reseller channels behind?

You trade reseller listings for your own website and a marketing team, and for most hunting outfits that's the better trade. Peek Pro lists connections to Viator, GetYourGuide, TripShock and Airbnb. HuntReserve doesn't distribute to resellers; we build your name instead.

Every HuntReserve package includes a website on your own domain. Full Draw and Trophy Class add our partner agency for local rankings, AI search answers, paid Google and Meta campaigns, monthly content and reviews, aimed at the hunters searching for your kind of trip in your area. A client who finds you on Google books with you directly and comes back next season without a middleman.

If reseller sites fill a big part of your calendar right now, count those bookings before you move. Operators selling rentals and attractions by the hundred may be happier staying with Peek Pro. For a hunting or fishing outfit, HuntReserve is the Peek Pro alternative built for the work.

Questions

Switching from Peek Pro

What is Peek Pro?

Peek Pro is booking software for tours, rentals and attractions. Its own site lists automated waitlists, AI dynamic pricing, abandoned-booking recovery by email and text, native iOS and Android apps with offline check-in, a Reseller Hub, tipping, memberships and a customer portal.

How much does Peek Pro cost?

Peek Pro doesn't publish plan prices. Its site says pricing is custom and quote-based, and describes it as commission-based, without stating the rate or who pays. HuntReserve's three plans are listed openly at $159, $329 and $899 monthly.

Is HuntReserve a cheaper Peek Pro alternative?

We can't say without your Peek quote, because their prices aren't published. Send us the quote and your yearly booking volume on a call, and we'll lay the two side by side with you, fees included.

Can I move from Peek Pro in the middle of a season?

Yes. We set up packages, extras, releases and Stripe alongside you and bring over your customer list. Trips already booked can finish where they are while new bookings go to HuntReserve from the day your new Book button goes live.

What happens to my Viator, GetYourGuide or Airbnb listings?

HuntReserve doesn't connect to resellers or marketplaces, so those listings wouldn't carry over. Bookings come through your own site, Google, AI search and ads instead. If those channels matter a lot to you, tell us and we'll talk it through plainly.

Do my guides need to install an app?

No download needed. Everything opens in an ordinary phone browser for you, your guides and your clients. Guides see their own hunts, while owners and managers see the money. Peek Pro lists native iOS and Android apps; HuntReserve works without one.

Will my waitlist and members come with me?

Yes. Send us your current list and we'll set up memberships with dues and a ledger, and the waitlist starts working on your first full date. Cancellations go to the next person in line automatically.

Does a Peek Pro alternative still handle tips and add-ons?

HuntReserve sells add-ons like extra birds, trophy fees, processing, lodging and meals, priced into the booking. Tipping isn't one of HuntReserve's listed features, so if digital tips matter to your guides, raise it on the call.
