The LodgeRunner alternative with marketing in the box
LodgeRunner has run lodge and guide bookings for a long time, and it does rooms and guides well. HuntReserve covers the booking and lodging side too, then adds what brings hunters in: a custom website on every package, a marketing team from Full Draw, license checks with name match, pre-filled harvest reports and published prices.
We call you, show you HuntReserve with your own hunts, and set you up.
The short answer

Your brand, your Stripe, your customers
Your brand
Hunters book on your website, on your own domain, under your name. Every page we write and every review we earn builds your outfit, not a platform's.
Your Stripe
Deposits, balances and refunds go straight into your own Stripe account. Card processing is Stripe's standard rate, and you decide who covers it.
Your customers
Your hunters, waivers, licenses and booking history live in your own HuntReserve account. Your reviews and repeat business build your brand, not ours.
Switching guide
Why lodges and outfitters move from LodgeRunner to HuntReserve, what's different, what feels the same, and how pricing compares. LodgeRunner details come only from LodgeRunner's own pages, read on October 22, 2026.
When does a LodgeRunner alternative make sense?
Usually because the booking system works fine and the calendar still has holes in it. LodgeRunner is a reservations system first: room grid, guide assignments, pre-registration, statements. Its site doesn't list a marketing team or building your website; the booking engine embeds into a site you already run, and it says plainly that it doesn't put your trips in a marketplace.
So the outfitter ends up with a booking tool on one bill and the work of getting found on another: a web designer, someone for ads, maybe a nephew who does Facebook. Each piece is fine on its own. Together they don't talk to each other, and nobody owns the question of why October still has open weeks.
Looking at a LodgeRunner alternative pays off when you want those pieces under one roof. HuntReserve's website, booking page, paperwork and payments are one system, and from Full Draw up the same team runs your local SEO, AI search visibility and Google and Meta ads, with a monthly report on what they bring in.
What does HuntReserve add as a LodgeRunner alternative?
It adds the growth side and a few hunt-specific safeguards. These are the points where LodgeRunner's own site doesn't list the feature, or lists a narrower version of it:
- Website: a custom site on your domain with every HuntReserve package, sized at 5, 10 or 25 pages. LodgeRunner embeds into your site; a website build is not listed on their site.
- Marketing team: Full Draw ($329/mo) and Trophy Class include search rankings for your area, AI answer visibility, managed Google and Meta campaigns and Google Business Profile management. LodgeRunner: not listed on their site.
- Approve before booking: you approve a hunter, and only then does a one-time booking code go out. LodgeRunner's site doesn't list this.
- License checks: LodgeRunner records license numbers and scanned uploads. HuntReserve also reads the license and checks that the name agrees with the waiver signature; name matching is not listed on their site.
- Harvest reports: LodgeRunner lists tag uploads, preference points and game labels. HuntReserve pre-fills state harvest reports with a deadline countdown for you to submit; harvest reports are not listed on their site.
- Offline paperwork: HuntReserve's Camp Mode signs waivers and stores license photos with no signal. LodgeRunner: not listed on their site.
- Waitlist: cancelled spots are offered to the next hunter automatically. LodgeRunner's site doesn't mention one.
- Memberships: clubs, leases, dues and member ledgers. LodgeRunner: not listed on their site.
Beyond the comparison table, HuntReserve also has AI quote drafts, a processing tracker with a hunter status page, Harvest Log season stats, field conditions with river gauges and post-hunt feedback requests. Browse them in the full features list.
What feels familiar after leaving LodgeRunner?
Most of the guest-facing flow, which is why returning hunters barely notice a LodgeRunner alternative. LodgeRunner sends a pre-registration link that collects each guest's information, and its e-signature step asks whether a guest is signing for a minor dependent. HuntReserve works along the same lines: the lead hunter shares one link, each hunter enters their own details, signs your waiver and adds a license photo, and anyone under 18 signs with a guardian alongside.
The money side lines up as well. LodgeRunner tracks deposits, progress payments and final balances, and its Split the Bill feature creates separate statements for each party member. HuntReserve takes the deposit at booking, invoices the balance on its own before the hunt and, when you switch it on, gives every hunter a personal link to pay their share online ahead of time.
Rooms carry over in concept too. LodgeRunner's color-coded room grid becomes HuntReserve's occupancy grid, with units, beds and nightly capacity booked alongside the hunt. Both send invoices and payments to QuickBooks Online, both run in a phone's web browser rather than a native app, and neither is a marketplace.
Is a LodgeRunner alternative worth paying more for?
It is when the website and marketing are part of what you're buying. On software alone, LodgeRunner can cost less: its site lists $50 a month for a one-guide operation and typically $100 to $300 a month for hunting outfitters, with the final rate quoted after a demo. It also lists no per-booking fees, and you pick your own card processor.
HuntReserve publishes its prices: $159, $329 or $899 per month. Opening Day adds 2% to online card bookings, billed to you; the upper two tiers have no booking fee. Card payments settle in your Stripe account at the usual Stripe rate, and passing that cost to hunters is your call (Stripe lists its rates on its pricing page).
So the honest math is this: a single guide who already has a working website and steady bookings will likely spend less on LodgeRunner. An outfitter paying separately for a web designer and ad management should add those bills to LodgeRunner's quote before comparing. Further down, a cost table lines up both companies' published numbers.
How hard is it to move to a LodgeRunner alternative?
Not hard, and you don't do it alone. Steps are laid out in the switching section below. In short, our team imports your customer list, rebuilds your packages, rooms and waivers, connects your Stripe and walks your crew through it during a call built around your real hunts.
Plan the timing around your season. The smoothest path is to start new bookings in HuntReserve and let reservations already in LodgeRunner run their course, then close the old account once the last of them is done. Export or download any records you want to keep before you cancel. LodgeRunner's site lists data import and customization at $120 an hour when needed, which is worth knowing if you ever plan to move data in the other direction.
Who should switch, and who should stay on LodgeRunner?
Switch if you want more bookings and one team accountable for them. HuntReserve fits outfitters and lodges that want their own website ranking, ads managed for them, hunters approved before they book and paperwork that works in a camp with no signal. It's the LodgeRunner alternative for an outfit that plans to grow.
Stay if LodgeRunner already runs your rooms, kitchen and guides smoothly, your website brings in enough hunters, and the lowest monthly cost matters most. That's a sensible choice, and the box further down this page says so. Comparing other options? See HuntReserve vs. HuntDocs or the hunting lodge reservation software page.

Questions
Questions from lodges switching from LodgeRunner
Can I bring my guest list and room setup over from LodgeRunner?
Yes. We import your customers and rebuild your cabins, rooms, beds and nightly capacity in HuntReserve, along with your packages and waiver. Keep a downloaded copy of past signed documents from LodgeRunner for your records before you close the account.
Does a LodgeRunner alternative cost more?
HuntReserve usually does on software alone. LodgeRunner's site lists $50 a month for a single guide and $100 to $300 for most hunting outfitters, quoted after a demo. HuntReserve is $159 to $899, with a custom website on every package plus marketing from the $329 tier.
Will my hunters still pre-register and e-sign?
Yes. One link from the lead hunter reaches the whole party, and each person fills in a profile, e-signs and photographs their license. Hunters younger than 18 get a guardian's co-signature on that same form, much like LodgeRunner's minor dependent step.
Can each hunter pay online instead of splitting a statement at check-out?
Yes. Switch on individual payment links, and each hunter pays their part online before the hunt. LodgeRunner's Split the Bill creates separate statements per party member; HuntReserve collects each share online ahead of arrival.
Can I switch to a LodgeRunner alternative mid-season?
It's workable. Start new bookings in HuntReserve and let existing reservations finish in LodgeRunner, so nobody gets rebooked. Many lodges like an off-season move, though it isn't required.
Do my guides and kitchen staff get their own access?
Every guide and staff member gets their own login, and permissions keep payment details with owners and managers while guides see only their own hunts. Camp Chat keeps the crew in one thread. A separate kitchen or housekeeping portal isn't part of HuntReserve, so check how your lodge runs before choosing any LodgeRunner alternative.
How do I see HuntReserve with my own lodge?
Request a call. We'll ring you, show HuntReserve set up with your actual hunts and rooms, recommend a package and handle the setup if you go ahead.
